Phil grew up watching his dad Gary Broste play bass in Bemidji, MN.  It was no surprise, then, that Gary and Phil began making music together as soon as Phil was old enough to play in a dive bar.  19 years later, they’re still at it, collaborating long distance to record a rockin' Americana project they're calling Brøste, after the original Norwegian spelling of their name. Gary plays bass, Phil plays pedal steel guitar. Both sing and write. Check out their Vol. 1 release out now!
